Summary of a typical Outride.
The cyclists stayed at
Donald's House in Thomas River. The Saturday ride was a 70km, past some
historical sights, across plenty of jeep track to join up with the Henderson
Valley Road. After a couple of "buiscut stops" they cycled to
Rob's house for lunch. The afternoon took the group further down the
picturesque valley over technical gravel roads. The eivening braai
with local meat was enjoyed by all before the tired legs were finally put to
rest.
The Sunday ride was 35 km over
previously unridden jeep track in the Thomas River area with spectacular
krantz top views and white knuckle downhills. The roast at the Old Thomas
River Village was a fitting end to a great weekend.
The whole weekend only cost the the
riders R600, which included accommodation, food and Cathcart's famed
hospitality!!
